CHARGING SECTION

Components used in Charging Section of Mobile Phone
1. Fuse
2. Coil
3. Zener Diode
4. P.F.
5. Charging IC / Power IC
6. CTR (R22 / 0 / .22)

CTR – Charging Test Resistor (It Sense Battery Charging Voltage) Value – R22/ .22/ 0

BSI – (BATTERY STATUS INDICATOR / BATTERY SIZE INDICATOR)
This is a special pin in the battery which tells how much current in given to the battery to be perfectly charging. Inside the casing of the Battery Special Components are connected to BSI Track. It contains RT Resistor which heats the battery during Charging.

TEMP – This pin tell the battery Temperature. If B Temp Components 47k Resistor is Damaged then “CHARGER NOT SUPPORTED” Fault will come.

FAULTS

1. NOT CHARGING
a. Check Charging Tip, if Short
b. Check Charging Connector
c. Remove Zener Diode
d. Resold / Replace CTR
e. Check the Voltage in Battery Connector by inserting Charger it should in
between 1.5 V to 3.8 V.
f. Remove BSI Track PF.
g. Check Charger Voltage it should in between 5.0 V to 6.5 V.
h. Full Flash the Mobile Phone.
i. Check with Original Battery.

2. NO CHARGING or NO CHARGING RESPONSE

a. Check Charger Output Voltage
b. Check Charging Connector
c. Check Fuse
d. Check Charging Tip, if Short
e. Check Track from Charging Connector to PF.
f. Check Charging Connector in Put Voltage
g. Check Power IC output Voltage in before and after CTR, if NO Voltage found then Resold / Reball Charging IC.
h. If Voltage difference is found in before and after CTR the change CTR.
i. Check Voltage in Battery Connector by inserting Charger, in no voltage found then put a jumper from Battery +VE to CTR.

3. CHARGER NOT SUPPORTED

a. Replace 47K Thermistor in Btemp Track.
